At least 10 Iraqis were killed and 36 were wounded in the latest round of violence. Only one serious bombing was reported, but U.S. soldiers were involved in a shooting that left one Iraqi dead. Four U.S. soldiers were also charged with cruelty and maltreatment of soldiers in their platoon.
In Baghdad, two people were killed and 22 more were wounded during a truck bombing at the Rashied marketplace in Doura; sticky bomb was attached to a truck that passed through a checkpoint without being searched.
In Mosul, four Iraqis soldiers were killed and three more were killed
U.S. forces killed a man and wounded his son during a raid in Khalis. The son was then arrested.
In Tal Afar, a blast killed a civilian and wounded three others.
Three people were wounded when gunmen attacked a member of parliament as he was driving just south of Kirkuk. The MP, his wife and one child were injured.
An unidentified body was discovered in Khanaqin.
Near Mosul in Khazar, the body of a Peshmerga fighter was discovered.
A bomb blast near a Fallujah police officer’s home wounded two guards. Two bodyguards were wounded when gunmen attacked a local sheikh as he was leaving a mosque.
Two suspects were arrested in Suwayra.
Ramadi police detained nine suspects.
An armed group was arrested in Mosul.
