New Offensive Launched in Anbar; 46 Killed, 36 Wounded Across Iraq

Anbar:

Iraq forces launched an offensive in Saqlawiya.

In Falluja, 15 militants were killed during operations. Shelling wounded seven civilians.

A bomb killed a policeman in Abu Ghraib.

Security forces killed an unknown number of militants at an undisclosed location.

Elsewhere:

A bombing in Jurf al-Sakhar killed four civilians and wounded 10 more. Militants killed six soldiers and wounded five more at a checkpoint. Authorities dismissed 26 Sahwa members accused of working with militants.

Bombs killed one person and wounded seven more in Tikrit.

In Mosul, gunmen killed two civilians. Five gunmen were killed. A bomb wounded three soldiers.

Four people were killed in a landmine explosion in Samarra.

A body was found in Qayara.

A militant leader was killed in the Thar Thar Region near Samarra.

Security forces rescued a kidnapped policeman in al-Jazira.

In Baquba, a bomb planted in garbage wounded three sanitation workers.

A sticky bomb wounded a police brigadier general in Baghdad.

Near Baiji, ISIS/DAASH militants executed six Naqshabandiya militants for not pledging allegiance to their group.
