Pre-election Violence in Iraqi Kurdistan; 4 Killed in Other Attacks

At least four Iraqis were killed and 10 more were wounded in newly reported attacks. In Iraqi Kurdistan, rare political violence occurred today and earlier this week. Elections will take place there later this month.

One policeman was killed and four more were wounded in a blast in Suleiman Pak.

In Suleimaniya, a gunman shot and wounded a Goran party supporter during a rally. Five people were wounded during a rally earlier this week. Goran is the third largest party in Iraqi Kurdistan and the main opposition party.

In Mosul, gunmen shot dead an off-duty policeman outside his home.

An I.E.D. killed a farmer at a Dujail orchard.

In Khalis, a sticky bomb killed a civilian.

A man was kidnapped by men in military uniforms from a home in Ameriya al-Falluja.
