Polish targets in Baghdad were once again attacked in Baghdad. No casualties were reported this time, but Baghdad was rocked numerous bombings. Overall, 54 Iraqis were killed and 88 were wounded in the latest round of violence. Also, a Marine died in combat today in Anbar province, and the DOD announced the combat death of a soldier in Baiji on Thursday.
In Baghdad, the Polish embassy was rocked by at least four explosions. This attack came a day after the Iranian embassy in Baghdad and Polish forces in Diwaniya were targeted, and less than a week since gunmen staged an assassination attempt on the Polish ambassador. No casualties were reported at the embassy, but two people were killed and five were wounded in a nearby car bombing.
Also in the capital, a car or roadside bomb near the Technology University killed five people and wounded 15, mostly women and children. In al-Kamaliya, a car bomb killed one person and wounded six others. A roadside bomb in Kadhamiya wounded 15 more people. In eastern Baghdad, a bomb targeting a U.S. patrol wounded two Iraqi civilians instead. Mortars targeted the former general security agency in Baladiyat; the number of casualties went unreported. No casualties were reported during shelling in the Green Zone. Also, seven dumped bodies were discovered scattered in several districts.
Thirteen civilians were killed and 22 more people were wounded, including four policemen, during a suicide car bombing at a police station in Diljah. Gunmen had attacked the poorly defended station less than a month ago.
At a checkpoint near Tikrit, a suicide bomber killed three people and wounded 10 more.

One policeman was killed and two were wounded during a roadside bombing in Hawija.
In Mosul, clashes between Iraqi army troops and suspects from the Islamic State in Iraq left 11 gunmen dead in al-Methaq and al-Zahraa. In the al-Tahrir district, a third clash left four gunmen and one Iraqi soldier dead; four servicemen were wounded.
Nine gunmen were arrested in Kirkuk for staging attacks on the oil infrastructure. Gunmen killed a barber who was driving on a highway west of the city.
A roadside bomb targeting an Iraqi Army patrol in Madaen caused no casualties.
Fierce clashes between combined U.S.-Iraq forces and gunmen in Diwaniya caused property damage but left no casualties; nine gunmen were detained.
Five gunmen were killed and three were detained during a U.S. forces raid in Sadr City.
Turkish forces shelled Iraqi target in Duhuk province a day after 13 Turkish troops and a Kurdish rebel were killed across the border. No casualties were reported but forest areas were set ablaze.
Three men, suspected of kidnapping Britons, were arrested in Baghdad.
Also, the border between Iran and Kurdish regions of Iraq has been re-opened. And, the Supreme Judicial Court announced that 6,017 detainees, whose guilt could not be established, were released since February.
