New violence left eight dead and 16 wounded across Iraq.

A roadside bomb in Abu Ghraib killed four policemen.

One Sahwa member was killed and three more were wounded during a small arms attack in Mahmoudiya.

In Baquba, a policeman was shot dead.

A sticky bomb killed a policeman in Shirqat.

A policeman was shot dead in his car in Baiji.

In Baghdad, 11 civilians were wounded in a blast.

Gunmen wounded two soldiers in Mosul. Insurgents blew up five cell phone towers.
