Violence Leaves 21 Iraqis Killed, 42 Wounded

A car bomb in Kirkuk killed two policemen and wounded 16 others, including eight civilians. South of the city, a bomb killed a Turkmen official and a companion; another person was wounded.

Two people were killed and 16 more were wounded when a bomb exploded near a soccer match in Khan Bani Saad.

In Baghdad, gunmen killed a municipal official. Two people were killed and two more were wounded during an attack on a real estate office. Two civilians were killed in separate shootings in Saidiya.

One soldier was killed and three more were wounded in a roadside blast in Baiji. A grenade at a Sahwa commander’s home wounded him and killed his parents.

Gunmen killed a Sahwa leader in Abu Ghraib.

A rare bombing in Arbil wounded a colonel.

In Mosul, two gunmen were killed in an attack on a checkpoint.

A suicide bomber killed a police lieutenant in Shirqat.

In Rashad, killed an officer and wounded two soldiers. Security forces killed a militant.
