Bloodshed Continues in Iraq’s Anbar; 36 Killed, 47 Wounded

At least 36 people were killed and 47 more were wounded. Most of the casualties occurred in Anbar.

Anbar:

In Falluja, shelling and air strikes left six civilians dead and 21 more wounded. Seven militants were killed in an operation.

Gunmen killed four soldiers and wounded two Sahwa members in Albu Delma.

In Haditha, security forces found the body of a kidnapping victim from Qaim. On a road heading towards Hit, gunmen killed two people.

Three soldiers were gunned down in Ramadi.

Seven militants were killed during an operation in Garma.

In Saqlawiya, five people were wounded in a shelling attack.

A sticky bomb in Baghdadi wounded a policeman.

Elsewhere:

In Baquba, an elderly man was gunned down. Gunmen killed one man and wounded another.

Gunmen attacked a checkpoint in Shurqat where they killed a policeman and wounded another.

A body was discovered in Basra.

In Mosul, a Shabak man was gunned down.

In Baghdad, a bomb wounded four people in Adhamiya. On Palestine Street a bomb wounded two people.

A bomb at a checkpoint in Abu Ghraib wounded eight people, including six civilians.

A gunman was killed in a clash near Udhaim.
