Scattered attacks across Iraq left 26 killed and 32 wounded

The only fighting reported in Anbar was in and around Falluja. The hospital was struck by artillery fire just a day after the Iraqi government denied it was intentionally shelling the hospital there. Across the country at least, 92 Iraqis were killed and 23 more were wounded.

Although Anbar was unusually quiet today, attacks picked up in Mosul and Baghdad. In one gruesome attack in the east, two children were kidnapped before being murdered. At least 94 people were killed and 116 were wounded.

Human Rights Watch is alleging that the Iraqi government is using barrel bombs in Anbar and specifically targeting the hospital in Falluja. The hospital has been hit by artillery fire so many times that H.R.W. believes the Iraqi military must be targeting the hospital. The government denies the accusation. At least 78 were killed and 83 more were wounded in attacks today.

At least 43 people were killed and 76 more were wounded in today’s attacks. Mosul suffered from several attacks.

Shi’ite pilgrims wrapped up their yearly observance of Imam Kadhim’s death anniversary in Baghdad. Over 60,000 security personnel were on hand to protect the pilgrims as they traveled in and out of Baghdad to visit a large shrine where the Iman’s remains are said to rest.

At least 146 people were killed and 82 more were wounded across Iraq. Four of the fatalities were Iranians who were in Iraq working on a gas pipeline between the two counties. In Anbar Shelling in Falluja killed four people and wounded 19 more in several...

Pilgrims continued to be targeted in Baghdad, as were militants in Anbar province.

Shi’ite pilgrims were targeted as they traveled to a shrine in Baghdad where the remains of Imam Kadhim are said to reside. In those attacks and other violence, at least 150 Iraqis were killed and 127 more were wounded.

The fighting continued in Anbar today, while gunmen and bombers took their toll elsewhere.
