At least 169 people were killed and 55 were wounded across Iraq on Tuesday. Also, Canada’s parliament has authorized airstrikes in Iraq.

At least 94 people were killed today and 69 more were wounded. The deadliest attack occurred in Hit where airstrikes accidentally hit a market. It is unclear if the strikes were conducted by the Iraqis, who often strike civilians in Falluja, or one of the coalition partners.

Few civilians were killed or wounded on Sunday. Most of the casualties took place in fighting or airstrikes. At least 197 were killed and 81 were wounded.

Muslims began to celebrate Aid al-Adha, but the fighting continued. At least 228 were killed across Iraq, and another 99 were wounded. Also, the Baghdad suburb of Abu Ghraib apparently is now in the hands of the Islamic State.

Celebrations are likely ongoing in Duluiya where a long siege is finally over. Meanwhile, at least 34 people were killed and 53 more were wounded across the country. Most of the casualties were militants.

At least 291 people were killed today and 49 more were wounded. Heavy fighting took place during a failed attempt by ISIS/DAASH to take over Hit, in Anbar province. Meanwhile, the United Nations released a gruesome report on the violence and abuses occurring across Iraq.

At least 175 people were killed in Iraq today, mostly militants. Another 75 were wounded, mostly civilians in a bombing in southern Baghdad.

Updated at 7:58 p.m., Sept. 30, 2014 Antiwar.com has determined that at least 3,790 people were killed across Iraq during September. These numbers include militants, even foreign ones, killed in Iraq. Another 1,949 were wounded. The violence also left 126 dead and 184 wounded across Iraq on Tuesday.

Only 17 non-militant deaths were reported today and no wounded, but that is an unlikely number, because there was heavy fighting just west of Baghdad. An unconfirmed report suggests that a thousand soldiers may have been killed in that operation alone. At least 229 militants were killed in other battles and airstrikes and 33 more were wounded.
