Overall, at least 54 people were killed and 77 were wounded across Iraq. With the possible exception of two suicide attacks in Ramadi, today’s violence appears to be uncoordinated. Also, the Iraqi government continued a very controversial program targeting militants in predominantly Sunni regions of Iraq.

Although no major bombings took place, the usual background violence took at least 16 lives. At least 36 were also wounded. In northern Iraq a shrine and a pipeline were bombed in separate attacks, but no causalities were reported.

At least 62 people were killed and 148 more were wounded. Meanwhile, controversial raids on predominantly Sunni region continued.

At least 26 Iraqis were killed and 35 more were wounded. Sixteen more were executed after being found guilty of terrorism-related offences.

At least 13 people were killed and 32 more were wounded in the latest round of attacks, as the Sunni-dominated Al-Mutahudin political bloc accused the central government of launching a sectarian crackdown.

Including 13 suspects who were killed during a security operation in northern Iraq, at least 35 people were killed and 23 more were wounded.

At least 40 people were killed and 115 more were wounded in the today’s attacks. The Iraqi government also reported the deaths of 38 suspects during a recent security operation in Anbar province. Meanwhile, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari vowed that the government would work to keep Iraq from sinking back into a full-blown sectarian war.
