The Islamic State executed several people in Mosul, but they also suffered losses there and across Iraq. Overall, at least 161 people were killed and 53 were wounded.

As the United States considers expanding it military and humanitarian missions, at least 168 people were killed and 22 more were wounded. Most of today’s casualties were militants and reports suggest that many more militant deaths went uncounted.

Baghdad was hit by another car bomb today, but the number of casualties in the city was low compared to yesterday. Across Iraq, though, at least 80 people were killed. However, reports of militant deaths are becoming fuzzier with each passing day. Dozens more were reported killed in airstrikes, but even vague estimates are no longer being offered in many for many of the attacks. Another 58 were wounded.

Baghdad and two cities south of the capital suffered from a number of bombs targeting civilians. Across the country, at least 212 people and 184 more were wounded.
