Baghdad Blast Kills 7 Iraqis

A bomb blast in the capital was one of six reported attacks in Iraq today. Overall at least 11 Iraqis were killed and 19 more were wounded in them. One attack targeted American personnel, but the number of casualties is unknown.

Shootings Leave Six Dead Across Iraq

At least six Iraqis were killed in shootings today, three of them in attacks against security personnel. Another man was wounded in today’s only reported bombing. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has denied Associated Press reports that the U.S. military has dropped plans to retain thousands of troops in Iraq.
