Baiji Refinery in Peril, 106 Killed across Iraq
Troops at the refinery in Baiji are begging for help. The refinery is again surrounded by Islamic State militants, and the men stationed there are running out of supplies. Some reinforcements did arrive on Monday. The refinery is of strategic importance to the militants and fighting has been intense there, on and off, for several months.

Canadian PM Visits Iraq as 110 Are Killed
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited Iraq and Kurdistan on Saturday to affirm Canada’s commitment to the war effort and to meet with Canadian soldiers training Kurdish troops.
