Iraq Daily Roundup: Four Killed

by | Jul 25, 2021 | 0 Comments

At least four people were killed, and four were wounded in recent violence:

The body of Ali Karim was found in Zubayr a day after he went missing in Basra. Karim was the 26-year-old son of prominent women’s rights activist Fatima al-Bahadly. The award-winning activist has been receiving death threats for months, and she is blaming militia members for her son’s death. She lost another son last year, under suspicious circumstances.

In Rashad, an ISIS attack left three soldiers dead and two more with injuries.

Gunmen in Saidiya killed one, wounded another, and kidnapped a third person.
