ISIS Regroups near Haditha; 357 Killed in Iraq

Iraq was already walking a fine line between Iran and the United States, but the execution of Sheik Nimr al-Nimr in Saudi Arabia could ratchet those tensions higher and hurt efforts against the Islamic State.

At least 357 were killed and 50 were wounded:

After their defeat at Ramadi, Islamic State militants have apparently regrouped to attack Haditha vigorously. An unconfirmed number of people were killed in the village of Sakran. As many as 60 security personnel were killed in the fighting since Sunday. Reports suggest that 50 were wounded. Airstrikes killed 250 militants attacking Haditha and Barwana.

Gunmen killed a judge in Baquba.

Militants abducted 25 people from Hawija.

Violent clashes are occurring between Peshmerga and militants in Nineveh province.

Peshmerga forces killed 18 militants in Khazer.

In Mosul, airstrikes left 15 militants dead. An I.E.D. killed three militants.

Seven militants were killed in Mahlabiya.

Three militants were killed during strikes on Abu Maria.

A number of militants were killed in strikes near the Mosul Dam.
