70 Killed, 29 Wounded in Security Operations Across Iraq

At least 70 people were killed, mostly militants, and 24 more were wounded in several security operations and attacks.

Half of the military forces in Ramadi have been moved to the outskirts of Falluja. In Falluja, bombs left three dead and 11 wounded. One militant was killed. Also, the hospital suffered more artillery fire. A suicide bomber in Saqlawiya killed seven soldiers and wounded four more.

In Jurf al-Sakhar, gunmen killed 11 soldiers and wounded three more when they attacked their base. Later, 16 militants have been killed in clashes that are ongoing.

In Suleiman Pek, security forces retook the town and killed 10 militants. A separate clash left one federal policeman dead and two more wounded.

An armed attack against a funeral in Kirkuk left one policeman dead and three others wounded, including a civilian. Ten militants were killed during operations.

Security forces killed six gunmen in Albu Assaf.

A sticky bomb wounded the driver in Hilla. Security forces killed three gunmen.
