45 Killed, 71 Wounded, Mostly in Baghdad Bombings

Some territory in Anbar province was recovered from militant control perhaps that is why casualties were low there. Baghdad, however, suffered several bombings. Overall, at least 45 people were killed and 71 more were wounded across the country.

Seven people were wounded during shelling in Falluja.

A clash in Albu Bali left 10 militants dead.

One person was wounded in Ramadi during a shelling attack. A militant leader was killed.

In Baghdad, two bombs killed eight and wounded 20 more. A car bomb in Talibiya left three dead and 10 wounded. Gunmen killed two people and wounded four more in Camp Sara. A bomb in Nasariya left one dead and five wounded. A car bomb in Baghdad al-Jadida left five dead and 12 wounded.

A car bomb in Tikrit killed four policemen and wounded five civilians.

In Hawija, three Sahwa members were killed and two more were wounded during a small arms attack.

Three gunmen were killed while trying to attack a military post in Abu Ghraib.

In Mosul, gunmen injured an imam. A soldier was shot and killed and a second one was wounded. Gunmen also killed a policeman and a civilian.

A roadside bomb in Arab Jabour killed a Sahwa member and wounded two companions.

Gunmen killed a government employee in Muqdadiya.

A civilian was shot dead in Mahaweel.
