Another 7 Executions in Iraq, 12 Killed in Attacks

At least 12 people were killed and 24 more were wounded in fresh attacks. Another seven people were executed.

The Minister of Justice, Hassan al-Shimmary, said that 19 people were put to death in the past month. That is seven more executions than was reported yesterday.

In Mosul, a girl was killed in a blast that also wounded her parents and six brothers. A roadside bomb killed a civilian and wounded three policemen. Gunmen killed two members of the Facilities Protection Service. A colonel and a soldier were killed in clashes near a pipeline. Two soldiers were gunned down. Security forces liberated a female kidnapping victim.

A suicide bomber in Tarmiya killed one soldier and wounded three more as their patrol was conducting a search. Soldiers killed a separate bomber, who was a local al-Qaeda leader.

In Balad Ruz, two separate bombs killed one government employee and wounded a second.

Eight civilians were wounded in a blast in Saiyd Gharib.

A bomb wounded a shop owner in Ana.
