At least 11 people were killed and 11 more were wounded in prayer day violence.

In Tikrit, an I.E.D. exploded, killing two soldiers and wounding three more. A civilian was killed and two more were wounded in a sticky bomb blast.

A roadside bomb in Saniya left two Sahwa dead and two more wounded.

A policeman and his brother were killed in a small arms attack in Yathrib.

In Baghdad, a killed a man and wounded his wife in a bomb attack.

A gunman was killed and two policemen were wounded, when security forces intercepted an explosives-laden boat on the Euphrates in Jazira.

Gunmen killed a farmer in Baquba.

Security forces shot a suicide bomber in Falluja.

A bombing Hawija wounded a soldier.
