At least 23 people were killed and 12 more were wounded across the country today.

Three soldiers and an officer were killed in a bombing in Shora.

In Baaj, a bomb killed two civilians and wounded three more.

Gunmen in Alhmeirah killed five soldiers and wounded at least one more.

A security agent was shot dead in Kirkuk.

Security agents killed an al-Qaeda commander during a raid near Baghdad.

In Mosul, gunmen killed two soldiers at a checkpoint. A roadside bomb killed two more. Three gunmen were killed during a failed attack on a security headquarters.

A roadside bomb wounded two civilians in Falluja.

Gunmen killed a policeman in Tal Afar.

Two al-Qaeda operatives were killed in Shirqat.

Six people were wounded in several attacks in Diyala province.
