Two Killed in Iraq Attacks

Talks between the central Iraqi and the Kurdish Regional governments over tensions in a disputed region of Iraq were not fruitful. Instead, the two sides ramped up security forces across the area. Iraqi soldiers claim that the Kurdish Peshmerga troops are antagonizing them; however, the Peshmerga are under strict orders to keep clear of the army soldiers.

At least two Iraqis were killed and five more were wounded in new attacks.

Mortar strikes in Garma killed a civilian and wounded two others.

A roadside bomb killed a soldier and wounded another in Tal Afar.

A woman was wounded when a bomb exploded on a car in Riyadh.

In Kirkuk, a bomb wounded a police commander. A taxi driver was kidnapped.
