Friday: 3 Iraqis Killed, 8 Wounded

Light violence left three Iraqis killed and eight more wounded. Meanwhile, both Turkey and Iran continued their separate operations against Kurdish rebels camped in northern Iraq.

In Kirkuk, a sticky bomb wounded a police major and his wife. A police officer was wounded in a shooting. A male body bearing torture marks was discovered. A civilian was wounded in a drive-by shooting.>

Gunmen killed a cab driver in Mosul. Another civilian was killed in a separate shooting. Four suspects were arrested in connection with an incident yesterday.

In Baghdad, a bomb wounded three civilians.

A police officer was seriously wounded in Duquq.

Nine suspects were detained in Diyala.
