Saturday: 1 Iraqi Killed, 10 Wounded

While Christians quietly observed Christmas, at least one of their fellow Iraqis was killed in light violence. Another 10 were wounded.

In Mosul, a bomb wounded three people, including two civilians. A civilian was mistakenly killed by soldiers after they thought he fired upon them. An Islamic State of Iraq suspect was captured.

In Baghdad, two soldiers were wounded when gunmen attacked a Bayaa checkpoint. A blast in Kadhimiya wounded four people, including a civilian.

A runaway detainee was wounded during re-capture in Tal Afar.

Eight suspects, two of them Syrian, were arrested in Anbar province.

Twelve suspects were detained in the area of Kirkuk.
