Wednesday: 8 Iraqis Wounded

At least eight Iraqis were wounded in light violence. Attacks are perhaps on hold until election results, which are expected tomorrow at the earliest, are released. In the north, U.N. figures show that at least 800 Christians have left Mosul since the beginning of March.

Three policemen were wounded during a blast on a highway near Saidiya. Two people were arrested at the scene.

A bomb blast in Garma wounded two policemen.

In Mosul, a soldier and a civilian were wounded in a blast. A blast at a checkpoint wounded a policeman.

A gunman suspected of belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq was arrested in Hawija.

A wanted suspect was captured in Baquba.

A wanted suspect was caught in Buhriz.

In the Jalam region of Salah ad Din province, police found a weapons stockpile.

A weapons cache was discovered in Qayara.

Five bombs were found in Kut.
