The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (P.K.K.) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (K.D.P.I.) announced a truce after officials from the Kurdistan Regional Government intervened. At least 86 militants were killed and five more were wounded.

Kurdish Rebel Groups fought each other in northern Iraq. Overall, 133 were killed across the country.

The fight to win back Ramadi appears to have been launched without much help from the Iraqi army. Some army, police, and tribal forces have been deployed, but it appears that most of the fighters are Shi’ite militiamen. Husaybah has already been retaken. At least 171 were killed and 19 were wounded across the country.

At least 25 militants were killed in Iraq on Friday.

Sunni leaders say they will continue to fight against the Islamic State militants, as they have no choice but to do it, but they will not fight for the Iraqi government. At least 69 were killed and 44 were wounded.

At least 151 people, mostly militants, were killed. Another 30 were wounded: In Baiji, militants reported the death of a nephew of Saddam Hussein.

The fall of Ramadi could be destroying Sunni support for Iraq’s effort to rid the country of the Islamic State militants. At least 61 were killed and 28 were wounded.

On Monday, Shi’ite militias were gathering at the Habaniya military base, ahead of an assault on Ramadi. At least 55 were killed and five more were wounded.

Heavy casualties were reported on Sunday in Ramadi, where a number of buildings were demolished. At least 138 were killed and 54 were wounded.

Late on Friday, the U.S. government finally admitted to the extent of the disaster that is unfolding in Anbar province, specifically in the city of Ramadi. Officials say they are speeding up delivery of weaponry to Iraq to help the situation in Anbar. At least 608 have been killed and 31 more have been wounded.
