At least 10 people were killed, and one more was wounded in recent violence:
Gunmen killed a senior police officer who was sitting in his vehicle in Amara.
In Kirkuk, four militants were killed.
Two militants were killed during an operation in Metabijh.
Another two militants were killed near Albu Marsous.
In Salah ad-Din province, a security member killed on militant and wounded another.
