Airstrikes Kill Civilians; 154 Killed in Iraq

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani asked neighboring countries to help stop the flow of militants into Iraq.

At least 154 were killed and 38 more were wounded:

In Baghdad, a bomb killed six people and wounded 22 in Hay al-Amil. Clashes in Zaafaraniya left 17 soldiers and 47 militants dead. A police officer was killed and a policeman was injured in Suwayra.

Militants attacked Khalidiya and killed 10 soldiers. At least a dozen militants were killed before retreating.

Airstrikes in Mosul killed 15 civilians and wounded seven more.

Near a police checkpoint in Jbela, a stick bomb exploded on a truck, leaving eight civilians with injuries.

Airstrikes in Bartala and Sinjar left 33 militants dead.

A tank bomb killed 10 militants in Ramadi.

In Garma, three militants were killed.
