Security Ops Kill Dozens in Anbar; 91 Killed, 86 Wounded Across Iraq

Clashes and security operations in Anbar province left dozens dead and wounded. Also, attacks on journalists from militants and the government continue.

In Anbar:

Anbar’s governor said that ISIL/DAASH is running secret prisons.

Air strikes and artillery fire killed five civilians and wounded 45 more in Falluja. Six militants were killed in an air strike near the dam. Militants killed two soldiers and wounded three more during an attack on a checkpoint. Security forces killed 12 militants and wounded 10 in operations close to Falluja. Four gunmen were killed in a clash.

A suicide bomber killed seven soldiers and wounded four civilians in Hit.

Four militants were killed near Abu Ghraib, when the car bomb they were rigging blew up.

In Sikriya, gunmen killed five soldiers and wounded seven more.

Baghdad Operations Command reported killing 34 militants on the border between Anbar and Baghdad provinces.

Elsewhere:

In Mosul, two bombs killed three young people and wounded nine more at a billiards hall. Police killed a gunman. A car bomb wounded four civilians. An agronomist was gunned down.

Two bodies were found dumped in Duquq.

Gunmen killed a civilian in Tarmiya.

In Tikrit, an I.E.D. killed two people and wounded four more.

Police in Shirqat killed a gunman.
