Security Forces Focus of Attacks That Leave 36 Dead, 46 Wounded

In Anbar:

In Falluja, shelling and air strikes left 15 dead and 11 wounded.

A bomb targeted a security official’s home in Haditha, wounding his wife and two children.

Two policemen were killed and a third one was wounded in Hit when gunmen attacked their checkpoint.

Five gunmen were killed and six more were wounded during operations in Saqlawiya and Abu Khanfar.

Elsewhere:

A bomb exploded near a Tuz Khormato restaurant popular with security personnel. At least three people were killed and 17 more were wounded.

A roadside bomb killed four soldiers and wounded three more in Jurf al-Sakhar.

In Baghdad, gunmen killed an employee of the Interior Ministry. An off-duty policeman was shot dead.

Two policemen were killed in Tikrit.

In Baquba, a bomb killed one person and wounded five more.

A roadside blast in al-Wind killed a farmer.

In Mosul, two Christians were kidnapped. Soldiers killed a suicide bomber.
