Dawa Party Official Among Ten Killed in Iraq

At least nine Iraqis were killed and 17 more were wounded in fresh violence. A Turkish citizen was also killed.

In Mosul, a bomb killed two soldiers and wounded three more. A Dawa party official was killed and his bodyguard was wounded in a small arms attack. Gunmen killed a political candidate. A civilian was killed in a separate shooting. 9 17

Two Sahwa members were killed and two more were wounded in a small arms attack in Samarra.

Gunmen in Hawija killed two policemen in separate shootings.

A Turkish man was killed while on the job at a metals plant in Suleimaniya.

A bomb on a bus traveling in Abu Ghraib exploded, wounding five university students.

Three policemen were wounded in a roadside bombing in Baquba.

In Tikrit, a bomb wounded three policemen.
