Security forces killed two gunmen in Shirqat.

In Baghdad, gunmen tried to assassinate a lawmaker, but killed a companion instead. A lawyer was wounded in a shooting in Saidiya.

Two soldiers were wounded in an I.E.D. attack in Abu Ghraib. A bomb killed a policeman and wounded two others people.

A bomb neat Hit killed a soldier and wounded a female bystander. A triple bombing targeting an army patrol wounded eight people, including five civilians.

A Falluja, an I.E.D. killed a policeman and wounded two others. Gunmen killed a policeman.

Gunmen wounded the son of a judge in Tikrit.

In Baaj, a bomb killed two policemen and wounded a civilian.

Gunmen killed a government employee in Mosul.
