Friday: 5 Iraqis Killed, 17 Wounded

At least five Iraqis were killed 17 more were wounded in the latest violence. U.S. troops were involved in one incident where they killed a policeman and possibly a child.

A boy was killed and his father was wounded when a joint U.S.-Iraqi helicopter raid took place in Tikrit. When a neighbor, who is also a policeman, went to investigate he was also killed when U.S. servicemembers fired at him.

In Baghdad, 12 people were wounded in a roadside bombing in the Qahira neighborhood. A sticky bomb wounded two people in Amiriya. Katyusha rockets fell on the Green Zone.

Shelling in Khalis left three Sahwa members dead and two more wounded.

Seven suspects were arrested in Mosul.

Six suspects were detained in Diyala province.
