Monday: 1 Iraqi Killed, 3 Wounded

The beginning of Ramadan brought with it the intense heat of summer and light casualties. Only one Iraqi was reported killed and three more were wounded.

In Baghdad, a sticky bomb attached to an electricity minister’s car in the Bayaa neighborhood wounded two children when it exploded. A bomb blasted a U.S. patrol, but the number of casualties is unknown.

Gunmen using silencers killed at taxi driver last night in Hilla.

A soldier was wounded in Iskandariya when a bomb attached to his car exploded.

U.S. soldiers arriving in helicopters captured three suspects in Qurna.

Police arrested 28 suspects in Basra province.

Three suspects were arrested in Riyadh.

In Tal Afar, Sunni tribes released a statement condemning the arrest of 13 citizens, including two women.
