Sunday: 1 Iraqi Killed, 14 Wounded

For the third time in the last week, the only reported attacks against Iraqis occurred in Baghdad where at least one Iraqi was killed and 14 more were wounded in three attacks. It is unlikely that the only attacks occurred there, considering that there are other major cities where violence occurs on a daily basis.

Christian Iraqis are flooding into Istanbul, fleeing more potential attacks against them in Iraq. Among them are minor children sent by parents who could not afford relocating their entire families. For some, Turkey is just a stopover on their way to Europe or North America.

In Baghdad, one person was killed and four more were wounded when a bomb planted in fencing around a Badr Organization office exploded; the Badr militia was the military arm of the Supreme Iraq Islamic Council and often in conflict with the Mahdi militia. Seven people were wounded while on their way to work when a bomb blasted their bus. Three more were wounded in a bombing in Jadriya.
