Saturday: 2 US Soldiers, 3 Iraqis, 4 PKK Killed; 9 Iraqis Wounded

At least three Iraqis were killed and nine more were wounded in light violence just a day after a significant bombing in Khalis. Also, two U.S. soldiers were killed in separate location in northern Iraq. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) said that four rebels were killed and five more were wounded during Turkish air strikes on northern Iraq.

In Mosul, two people were killed and four more were wounded during a blast.

Five security personnel were wounded as they were attempting to defuse a bomb in Diyala province.

In Baghdad, a Sahwa leader was killed during a sticky bomb explosion in the Doura district.

Eleven suspects were arrested and 2 I.E.D.s were defused in Basra province.

Missan province implemented a security plan to protect foreign staff at oil fields and border crossings.
