Thursday: 1 US Soldier, 15 Iraqis Killed; 24 Iraqis Wounded

At least 15 Iraqis were killed and 24 more were wounded in the latest attacks. The bombings continued in Baghdad, while a suicide bomber killed a U.S. soldier in Baquba. Also, a Saudi national was killed during a raid in Mosul. Meanwhile, the U.S. military denied harming civilians during an attack yesterday in Baghdad.

In Baghdad, a roadside bomb wounded six people, including an Iraqi soldier, in Zaafaraniya. In al-Rashid camp, gunmen shot and killed a civil servant. A roadside bomb near Maysaloon Square wounded three people. Another three were wounded in a blast near Shabb Stadium. In Jamiya, a roadside bomb wounded four more people. Children were among the casualties in Amil, where a bomb killed two people and wounded five others. Also, three dumped bodies were recovered.

In Mosul, gunmen using rocket-propelled grenades killed one person and wounded three others. A Saudi Arabian fighter blew up his suicide vest during a raid on a hideout; also killed were three militants connected to al-Qaeda through the Islamic State in Iraq group

A roadside bomb killed three people, including a woman, in Kharab.

Iraqi troops killed three suspects in Sinjar. Three others were arrested.

A body was found in Kut.

Over 300 cases of cholera have been confirmed by the Health Ministry.
