Yes, it’s true: I’m taking some time off, finally! At my age, it’s a necessity. I’ll be gone until Monday, September 12 – by which time there will no doubt be plenty of catching up to do. And if Something Big happens, I’ll be right here at my post, with the kind of commentary you’ve been supporting with your tax-deductible donations since 1995.
Speaking of which: our fundraising drive is almost there. We’re still around $3,000 short and hopefully we’ll be over the top very soon. It’s been another occasionally scary but always encouraging ride: every time we have a fundraiser I’m just bowled over by the level – and consistency – of support. Many of you have bee with us for over a decade! That’s the kind of support that isn’t easily won, and I’m just so jazzed that we have it.
One way to ensure that we have to run these fundraisers less frequently is becoming a sustainer: you can sign up for an automatic monthly contribution. Go here for more information.
Again, I’ll be back in a week, so please stayed tuned. And, of course, I’ll be all over Twitter!
NOTES IN THE MARGIN
You can check out my Twitter feed by going here. But please note that my tweets are sometimes deliberately provocative, often made in jest, and largely consist of me thinking out loud.
I’ve written a couple of books, which you might want to peruse. Here is the link for buying the second edition of my 1993 book, Reclaiming the American Right: The Lost Legacy of the Conservative Movement, with an Introduction by Prof. George W. Carey, a Foreword by Patrick J. Buchanan, and critical essays by Scott Richert and David Gordon (ISI Books, 2008).
You can buy An Enemy of the State: The Life of Murray N. Rothbard (Prometheus Books, 2000), my biography of the great libertarian thinker, here.
