Militants Push East from Ramadi; 25 Killed across Iraq

Islamic State militants pushed eastward from Ramadi and are now about three miles away from Khalidiya. Just beyond that town is the Habbaniya air force base where security forces have been gathering and where U.S. advisers have been located.

Security forces stopped the flow of refugees thorough the Bzeibez Bridge connecting Anbar and Baghdad.

Iran has openly taken an offensive role in the battle for Baiji.

Few casualties were reported on Friday, the prayer day.

In Garma, security forces killed 25 militants.

An airstrike in Husaybah killed a number of militants.
