Battles Rage in Ramadi As 126 Are Killed in Iraq

At least 126 people were killed, mostly militants. Another 38 were wounded.

Four people were killed and nine were wounded in a blast at a Husseiniya market.

In Sabaa al-Bour, three people were killed and 12 were wounded in another market bombing. 14 38 112

Two people were killed and seven were wounded in a bombing at a mosque in Baghdad. A bullet-riddled body was found. Security forces killed a number of militants.

Gunmen killed two soldiers and wounded two more in Tarmiya.

Clashes broke out in Ramadi last night. Security forces regained control of an important road. A number of militants were killed in airstrikes directed at the university. A booby-trapped home left three security personnel dead and five wounded. Mortars wounded three civilians.

In Hit, 45 militants were killed in an operation.

French airstrikes left 40 militants dead in Riyadh and Rashad.

Security forces found the bodies of 17 militants near Zummar.

In Jalawla, an emir and three aides were killed.

Security forces killed three militants near Muqdadiya.

Three snipers were killed in Mazraa.
