The number of seemingly random attacks was high again today. In them, at least 49 people were killed and 83 more were wounded.
In Baghdad, gunmen killed a civilian and wounded another in Amil. A bomb killed seven worshippers and wounded 20 more at a Shi’ite mosque. Five pedestrians were killed nine more were wounded in a shooting spree in Ur. Gunmen killed two farmers and wounded three more who were riding in a truck in Nahrawan.
A bomb at a Sunni mosque in Tuz Khormato killed four people and wounded four more. Another bomb near a government people killed one person and wounded 11 more.
Five soldiers were killed and four more were wounded when gunmen attacked their bus just south of Mosul.
In Mosul, a suicide bomber drove into an army checkpoint, where he at least wounded five civilians. Four policemen were wounded in a roadside blast.
A suicide bomber in Abu Ghraib killed one soldier and wounded three more.

Two Sahwa members were shot dead near Baquba. Two civilians were killed nearby.

Three more people were killed and four were wounded in yesterday’s bombing in Mualimin. The final tally, including these, is eight killed and 20 wounded.
In Jurf al-Sakhar, gunmen killed an employee of the defense ministry while at his home.
