Eleven Iraqis Killed, 51 Wounded in Fresh Attacks

The number of attacks picked up again today. At least 11 Iraqis were killed and 51 more were wounded in them.

A rare bombing deep into southern Iraq wounded 26 people in Zubayr.

In Abu Ghraib, a suicide bomber killed two people and wounded 10 more.

Gunmen killed an imam, his nephew, and their companion outside a Falluja sweets shop. The imam had been active in organizing protests. One person was also wounded. A civilian was killed in an unrelated explosion.

A sticky bomb in Baghdad killed two people, including the policeman, and wounded five more.

In Kirkuk, gunmen killed a civilian, while a bomb wounded two policemen. Gunmen wounded an intelligence agent.

In Mosul, a bomb wounded a civilian and a policeman. Gunmen killed a man waiting in line for gasoline.

A roadside bomb wounded two civilians in Muqdadiya.

An I.E.D. wounded a police commander in Tikrit.

A roadside bomb in Hawija wounded a policeman.
