12 Killed, 34 Wounded in Iraq

Fewer attacks occured today. Still, at least 12 people were killed and 34 more were wounded.

In Baghdad, two people were killed and 12 more were wounded in a blast near a medical complex in the Jihad neighborhood. A car bomb killed two people and wounded four more in Zayouna. One person was killed and 11 more were wounded in a bombing at Andalus Square. A blast in Maysaloon left two dead and five wounded.

In Mosul, a former brigadier general was assassinated. Gunmen assassinated a tribal sheikh shortly after prayers.

A bomb planted in a car in Balad exploded, killing the driver and injuring his wife and children.

A sticky bomb killed a police officer near Ramadi.

Gunmen in Falluja assassinated a political candidate.
