Saturday: 3 Iraqis Killed, 1 Wounded

At least three Iraqis were killed and one more was wounded in light violence. Despite a general decrease in attacks, women in Baghdad are arming themselves for protection.

In Mosul, one policeman was killed and another was wounded in clashes.

A blast in Kirkuk killed a policeman.

In Baghdad, gunmen killed a police officer in the Harithiya neighborhood. Two mortars landed near the Green Zone.

A convoy of the U.S. Provincial Reconstruction Team was attacked in Nasariya, but no casualties were reported.

The head of the Karbala provincial council said that weak performance, or even "reluctance," on the part of security personnel is permitting terrorist and criminal acts to occur with the province.

Three suspects were arrested for a rocket attack on the Kut base.
