Bombers Strike in Baghdad; 279 Killed across Iraq

At least 279 were killed and 70 were wounded:

Militants executed 25 former army soldiers at the al-Ghozlani base near Mosul.

Seventeen security personnel were killed and several more were wounded in al-Fatha, where 48 militants were also killed.

In Baghdad, a bomb killed 10 people and wounded 20 more in the Qahira district. At least one person was killed and 10 more were wounded in Nahrawan.

Gunmen killed six security personnel and wounded four more at a Riyahah checkpoint.

In Ba’shiqah, Peshmerga forces killed two militants and wounded 12 more. Another 61 militants were killed in airstrikes.

Airstrikes in Qaim left 26 militants dead and six wounded. A road near Qaim that was being used by militants to bring weapons in from Syria has been cut off to them.

Security forces killed 22 militants near Jubba.

In Falluja, 21 militants were killed and 13 were injured in a strike against a munitions plant. Another six were killed while working with a bomb.

Security forces killed seven militants and wounded five more in al-Baghdadi.

Ten militants were killed trying to cross the Tigris River in Salah ad Din province.

In Kobaisi, ten militants were killed.

Seven militants were killed in Saniya.
