In Baghdad, a bomb hidden in agricultural waste exploded in the Radwaniya district, killing two civilians and wounding five more.

In Mosul, an I.E.D. killed one policeman and wounded four others. A civilian was shot to death. Two policemen were wounded in clashes. Gunmen killed a Peshmerga fighter.

A Samarra policeman was killed in an I.E.D. bombing. Gunmen wounded a policeman.

A bomb in Kirkuk wounded four policemen. Gunmen killed a Peshmerga fighter,

Two houses were blown up in Hawija.
