Iraq Security Forces Targets of Attacks That Leave 12 Dead, 20 Wounded

At least 12 Iraqis were killed and 20 more were wounded in violence mostly targeting security personnel.

In Baghdad, five security personnel were killed and 11 others were wounded when a double bombing took place in the Adhamiya district. A bomb wounded four in the Bayaa district.

A bombing in Ramadi left three policemen dead and two more wounded.

A woman’s dumped body was found in Kirkuk. Gunmen killed two men northwest of town.

A Patriotic Union of Kurdistan official died of wounds he received in a shooting in Saidiya.

A roadside bomb exploded in Ishaqi, wounding three people including a lieutenant colonel.

Soldiers liberated a merchant in Qaim and arrested four kidnappers.

A U.S. base in Kut suffered a Katyusha rocket attack, but no casualties were reported.

A truck accidentally collided with a U.S. vehicle, damaging nine civilian cars, in Souq al-Shyoukh.
