In stark contrast to yesterday, only four Iraqis were reported killed today. At least eight were also injured.

In Baghdad, a blast wounded five people in Ur; a second device was found. Gunmen killed a cameraman working for the Interior ministry as he drove through Saidiya. A police commissioner was shot dead. One of Jalal Talabani advisor’s was injured in a separate shooting.

Two people were wounded in a blast last night in Kirkuk.

A beheading victim was discovered near Falluja.

In Buhriz, someone stabbed to death a bodyguard working for a Sahwa leader.

Hundreds of protestors demanded the removal of Camp Ashraf. However, their involvement could be mercenarial as the government recently tried to distribute part of Camp Ashraf to local farmers.

No casualties were reported after an explosion at the same police station that saw scores killed or injured in Hilla yesterday.
