Sunday: 3 Iraqis Killed, 2 Wounded

At least three Iraqis were killed and two more were wounded in unusually light violence.

Police in Samarra killed two men who refused to stop for them outside a pharmaceutical plant.

In Baghdad, gunmen fired upon a car carrying an Interior Ministry director, wounding him and his driver.

In Mosul, army personnel killed an armed man in a clash. Eleven suspects were arrested. A weapon’s cache was also discovered.

Seven suspects were captured in Babel province.

An I.E.D. was defused on a road in Hour al-Pasha.
