Nine Killed, 20 Wounded in Northern Iraq Attacks

In Mosul, a bomb at a policeman’s home in the Hajar neighborhood killed his six-year-old son and wounded seven others, mostly children. A roadside bomb killed a woman and wounded six others in Nafaq al-Sihha. A female prison official was gunned down. An I.E.D. wounded a policeman.

A roadside bomb in Baiji killed a soldier and wounded two more.

A civilian was shot dead while at a market in Kirkuk.

In Baquba, gunmen killed a university professor.

Three people were wounded during a suicide attack at a Sahwa member’s home in Hawija.

A sticky bomb wounded a civilian in Samarra.

Security forces killed two gunmen as they were planting a bomb in Arab Jabour.

In Arbil, a man was killed and his wife was wounded as he was handling a mortar shell.

No casualties were reported in Falluja despite mortar fire, clashes and an assassination attempt on a senior military official.
