Bombers Target Mosul and Shi’ite South: 14 Iraqis Killed, 62 Wounded

At least 14 people were killed and 62 more were wounded. The worst attacks took place in Mosul, but rare bombings were reported in the far south.

In Mosul, four people were killed and 16 more were wounded in a blast at a restaurant. A suicide bomber detonated his vest at a recruitment center, where he killed two people and wounded eight more. Various shootings left another two dead and 10 wounded.

In Baghdad, a bomb attached to a ministry vehicle killed an employee and her driver, while also wounding three bystanders. A female civil servant was shot dead.

A sticky bomb in Falluja killed the driver and wounded a passenger of a car. A shooting at a checkpoint left one policeman dead and two others wounded.

Ten people were wounded in a two bombings in Basra.

A bomb in Samawa wounded three people.

Two people were wounded in a bombing in Samara.

A sticky bomb wounded two people in Hilla.

In Diwaniya province, two bombs wounded five people.
